Wow!
Check out the new Reality for DAZ Studio plug-in! This plug-in is truly amazing. This is going to take DAZ Studio to an entirely new dimension in rendering.
Basically, with this plug-in, Pret-A-3D has given DAZ Studio users what they have always wanted, rendered works to rival those of higher-end render applications costing thousands of dollars more, but with the ease of scene creation that DAZ Studio is known for.
The render engine used by the plug-in is the open source LuxRender . With LuxRender, DAZ Studio users now have the power of network rendering as well!

I am in the middle of editing past posts for the this new WordPress theme I am using on the blog. The theme I was using was a great theme, but I needed to do a lot of things manually and it was becoming tedious. I really needed something easier and that would keep up with WordPress’ development, so I subscribed to the services of a premium theme development outfit.
This new theme should be kept up-to-date with the latest WordPress versions by that team.
On another front, the video card on my render machine went south on me. It was a great video card with crossfire technology. I had to...

Daz Studio 3 Advanced is here!
Daz Studio 3 Advanced is the pay for version of the new Daz Studio 3. Daz Studio 3 Advanced has many features that will not be included in the free Daz Studio 3 version and it, also, comes in a true native 64-bit version! (Sorry, no 64-bit free version is currently offered; perhaps this will change in the future.)
I have been waiting for a 64-bit version for a long time, ever since it was announced it was coming.
Currently, I see only one annoying problem with the 64-bit version, there isn’t a 64-bit Dynamic Clothing Control plug-in for it, yet! And it...

“A teen girl turned vampire, out on her first night of feeding is found by the towns people looking for her; but to a horrifying surprise!
Note: Her boyfriend hasn’t been found.”
I entered Daz 3D’s Dynamic Clothing Contest. I am hoping to win the Best DAZ Studio Render category. Wish me luck!
For this entry I decided on a Victoria Francés Gothic inspired scene.
The main products used on this one are the Light Dome Pro 2.0 for the moonlight lighting effect, OptiTex’s Dynamic Century Nightgown, Erika for V4 with Valeria for V4‘s vampire eyes.
I had a bit of a...

“Don’t Mess With The Blonde!”
DAZ Studio now has dynamic clothing! Yeah!
Yes, I am excited.
I like dynamic clothing because dynamic clothing is so much easier for me to handle. And always, in my case, the dynamic clothing actually looks great without expending so much time!
DAZ Studio now comes with a built in basic dynamic clothing control that allows you to drape DAZ’s dynamic clothing to figures. If you require more than the built-in control offers then you can purchase, separately, a dynamic clothing control plug-in with many more features, like wind simulation,...

Here’s another great light set add-on for Daz Studio based on IBL lighting techniques. Here’s the full marketing description:
With the lights and presets in this package you will be able to light your scene with “real” light captured in HDRI light probes. The lights in this package use advanced IBL techniques combined with other ray-tracing methods like AO and Specular Occlusion to simulate a very convincing, soft lighting including specular effect-like highlights and even reflections of the environment, all with a single new light! Also if the scene needs it, you can...

Lens Flare Thru A Tree.
Here’s another great product from the guys at Dreamlight. It’s called Dynamic Lens Flare, and it does just as the name implies. It allows you to add lens flare to your renders dynamically without the need for you to do that in post work.
The way you use this Dynamic Lens Flare add-on is easy. All you have to do is add it to a camera (or cameras) in your scene and then you point a light source at the camera; for example, a spotlight.
Spotlights are the best light sources to use with the Dynamic Lens Flare add-on. You can use a distant light or even a point...

Here is a patch tool that will help you with your rendering work with Daz Studio in a 64-bit Windows operating system.
This 4GB patcher will allow your application to access 4-GBs of virtual memory instead of the 2-GBs by default.
When I first started using Daz Studio in Windows XP Pro x64, it kept crashing on me with big scenes. I could not put my finger on it. I was having the crashes on my brand new AMD, quad-core, desktop computer with six gigabytes of memory!
Someone on the Daz 3D forum suggested I look into the /3GB and /PAE switches to have Windows allow applications the use of more...

One of the recent add-ons for Daz Studio by one of my favorite publishers, Dreamlight, is Motion Master. They really hit a home run with this one!
As I have mentioned before, I really am not an expert with 3D image rendering or even that savvy when it comes to image manipulation using GIMP, PhotoShop, or even PhotoImpact. I had no clue what layer masking was all about when I started putting together my 3D graphic novel.
One of the reasons I stopped creating my graphic novel is precisely because I was waiting for certain areas of Daz Studio to mature and, of course, because I was waiting for...

Let me start with why I started this blog.
I enjoy 3D rendering. I like it when I get a scene in my head and I can turn it into reality using 3D rendering software like Daz 3D’s Daz Studio.
It really doesn’t matter what type of a scene it is either. It can be a fantasy scene, a science fiction scene, or even a scene from the past—from the time of the dinosaurs to the imagined future!
3D rendering has really matured at a fast pace.
I am a beginner and not an expert, I still can’t understand half the jargon in this business. I have only been creating 3D art/scenes for a cgi...
